Used to have a beekeeping book, written by an eccentric who lived with his father. Mother died thirty years ago, they never managed to do anything about that. But they took care of each other, and they lived bees.

First thing in the book, roughly: "Bees will teach you a great deal, if you let them. If you think you are going to teach them anything at all, or modify their behavior in any way, get over the idea.
