Spoke with fellow at local Fastenal and he knew about the Belleville washer.

This might be a source for this part.

Like some others though, the union between manifold and J-pipe on my
1988 appears to be the stock donut and 3 nut/bolts. It seems like it's
lasted 136K km's.
