"A fine piece of engineering if you ask me."

Indeed.

I have just returned from my friendly ACE Hardware with the Libby Bong(TM) bits in hand.

Of course, if I'd waited 15 more minutes before heading out to get them bong bits then I'd have seen Scott's equipment-free (=free) method.

But still, might as well build it up and use it.

I will impress my son and possibly make new friends when I break out my DIY L.B.!

Build it once, use it for lifetime. Pass it on to your kids. Who will look at it with the same look of puzzlement my kid had on his face when he saw my old man's brace and bit.

Young man who works for my wife saw me mowing the lawn last year with a reel-type push mower. You know, the kind without the engine?

"Mowing the lawn," I said. "This is how we kick it old school."

"I wondered what you were doing," he said. "I thought you were fertilizing it."

NOTE: This non-Vanagon anecdote may tempt some to do a NVC thread hijack. Resist the temptation.
