Hi all. Here in Vancouver BC, I found out that purchasing a new FPR locally would cost anywhere from ~ $150 - over $300. Thankfully I found a good used FPR but.... Around here, and maybe elsewhere, the air cooled part (image: http://www2.cip1.com/v/vspfiles/photos/BOS-0-280-160-200-2.jpg ) is somewhat easier to get and less money. (new) I searched the archives and found a post from Stan Wilder about this. I don't recall if he was successful with using this part on a WBX engine. Has anyone else found that the air cooled part will safely work on a WBX? Bentley shows that the specs for testing the FPR with vacuum hose connected, then disconnected, are the same for all the boxers. A " T " would be required at inlet, there would be 2 more hose clamps than with the WBX part, positioning it might be a problem, but other than that, will the part work correctly? Thanks Neil.
