I have an '03 EV MV as my 70% daily driver. Hands down it beats my '83 Westfalia in comfort and drivability. I drive 12 miles to work every day and it takes 40 min to an hour. Very unpleasant in a 4 sp Vanagon. Keep in mind the '83 is 20 years older than the '03. Right after I bought the EV and my wife and I were driving in it she says "Can we drive this to the campground and have it turn into our '83 when we get there?". :) The Dark Side is good, do not resist.
