Since the signs are meant for a working life measured in days I doubt that's much of a consideration for them. I wouldn't worry *too* much about that though, since these things live in the shade. Thin aluminum - chimney flashing might be thick enough to work with. Your local gutter contractor will have lovely stuff in huge rolls, probably anodized on one side with epoxy paint on the other - he sticks it into one end of a machine that he brings to the job, and guttering comes out the other. 1/8" acrylic or <senior moment - the other stuff> sheet GRP 1/8" Masonite with aluminum foil varnished on (e.g. dead clipboards) Something thin and stiffish and waterproofy.
