Mike, If you'll notice, aircooled vans do not have the extra (lower) grill that the watercooled vans have. That's in no small part because there is no radiator up front that would require an electric cooling fan. So... No, aircooled Vanagons do not have electric cooling fans -- unless you start talking about AC fans which are technically for cooling and are electrically powered. Same goes for dash mounted fans. :-)
