Just yesterday I wrote a glowing report of Harbor Freight's silicone bonding tape. I have used the brand they sold for years now and have been utterly happy with it. Yesterday I reported that they are now selling their own brand for even less than the old brand.

My report, based on prior experience before the change to a house brand, was premature. In the 24 hours since the new tape was applied to three different projects around the house (swimming pool plumbing, garden hose repair) it has degraded more than the old brand did in two years. More. I'm not exaggerating. It's crap, don't buy it.

Jim
