Here's a picture of my VDO oil pressure sender.  It looks moist but doesn't
actually drip.

I have a flex hose connected to low oil pressure switch port between
pushrod tubes.  A T-connector provides connections to the dual-pole sender
and the factory .3 bar switch.  The sender itself is mounted on the side of
the gearbox where the cruise control sensor used to be.   If you're
thinking that the purpose of the dual-pole sender is to provide both a
signal to an oil pressure gauge and a low-pressure warning lamp, you are
correct.  I opted to still use the .3 bar switch because the VDO sender
switches at a higher pressure.
