Subject: Looking for a 2.0l AC timing gear for crankshaft
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Thanks to everyone who wanted to help out with the diesel water pump pulley. I actually thought no one would have one and instead a bunch of people had them. Robert Keezer contacted me first so I went with him on that one.

I have a new request for a hard to get part. The crank gear for a 2.0l Air Cooled Vanagon engine (CV engine code). This is the steel gear that is pressed onto the crank and drives the camshaft not the bronze gear (I got a bunch of them). The steel gear is part number 021105209A so it is different than the water boxer steel gear (again I have several of those). If anyone has one of these in good used condition please let me know, and also what price you need to get for it. Just trying to help a customer out who is rebuilding a 2.0l engine. They goofed up this gear getting it off of the crank. (newbs) :-)

Let me know.
