hi .. good call on the possible missing forward support rod on the clutch slave bracket. I find those missing sometimes.

I could not tell what 'you do about that mess' from your pictures. Did not see any text that explains etc.

sometimes the slave bracket is cracked...though that is kinda rare. Watch how much it flexes while someone pushing down on the clutch pedal.

on my trans jobs I install a reinforced clutch slave bracket.. with a stud rather than a nut & bolt affair for the aftward slave cylinder mounting bolt hole ...makes it SO much easier to get a slave off and on . Too busy fixin' though to do much custom parts selling .. but I have a few of those in stock.

the forward support bracket can be made easily enough if necessary.
