I would like to say that .. the 'well documented' subaru conversion by Kennedy ..as far as I know ... 'normally' that is the 90 to 94 Legacy 2.2... and that is the engine that Kennedy has a CARB Executive Order on, in California.

and 90's don't count as they are known for having an oil control issue. so ..91 to 94 is the 'bread and butter' basic Subaru engine conversion .. and they are not bad at all.

there are other fine four cylinder subaru engines too , not just that one.

now about FAS ..( Tiico engine ) have I got a deal for you !

a white 91 GL that was running with a Tiico engine and fuel system, 4 speed manual trans . I got it with block engine block .. now I have a 1.8 jetta/golf block with new rings and rod bearings assembled for it .. even a windage tray in the diesel vanagon type oil pan.. frehsed up Tiico head ..with new head bolts and head gasket from Van Cafe the engine and trans need to be put back into the van .. the whole thing asembled and sorted out . No rust ...some dings on body. Front fiberglass bumper is a little kamunged in on one corner..but I have a great white one that could be painted gray like the stock fiberglass bumpers on this deluxe model van.

this week only.....$ 1,795 and taker 'er away ! I should put it on 'Bring a Trailer' ...lol.
