You have the only climate control vanagon known to exist I'd have to say.

they do that ..assuming you mean the front and rear heater fan switch knobs ... I'd try some trick ..a small paper shim perhaps ... or a tiny bit of permatex high tach gasket sealer to stick 'em in a little.

'climate control' heater/defroster/AC systems are 'automatic' .. you just set the temp you want.. the system figures how to do that, whatever the outside temp is..

if your 84 Westy has CC ..that's one rare bird !
