This isn't the original stuff, but this vendor sells hose sleeve:

Never dealt with him, don't know if product is correct, but it seems it is
given comments here:

And looking at that thread again, seems our vendors sell fuel hose cover:
http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/page_1137_286/fuel_line_cover_sold_per_meter.html
This image of my fuel hose sleeves:

AFAIKA, these marks are where the sleeve was contacting the engine block.
It seems to me that heat from the block made these marks.
Is this a common or normal thing to happen over time? Anyhow....
Since the 5/16" fuel hose I'm using is tight to the sleeve, my guess is
that heat from the block would pass from sleeve to hose more easily than
with the 7 mm hose. (IIRC, there is a little more play between the hose and
sleeve)
My engine may run hotter than normal. Haven't checked with my IR gun yet.
The temp gauge needle sits close to 1:00.
FWIW, in routing hoses similarly to Tencent's, I made a combination of
adjustments, (twisted FPR bracket a little, bent down the tab on plenum
where throttle return spring hooks on etc.) so that:
- hoses from passenger side fuel rail are on top of the intake, not on the
side (e.g. not close to rear of alternator)
- hoses are not rubbing on each other.
- inlet and outlet hoses connect to the stock black nylon hoses on driver
side of firewall.
As per your suggestion, I'll make a " U " shaped bracket that will attach
to the firewall and have plastic fuel hose support clips. This should
provide a non chaffing easily seen support system.
