Don’t know, but It likely won’t if it comes to the US, we being a gasoline fueled society. Forget about manual transmissions, they can only be found in sportscars today. Electronically controlled automatics give better Federal CAFE ratings and that’s the main reason manuals are gone. Horrendous traffic also has something to do with this, and is why I wanted a Westy with AT.

Does it come in turbo diesel manual tranny?? Disappointed that its no VW! Velma 82diesel 1.6 na westy On May 25, 2012 12:30 PM, "Stuart MacMillan" <stuartmacm@gmail.com> wrote: Rumor anyway. The smaller made-in-Turkey Ford Transit Connect has been a success here (has same engine that the Bostig conversion uses). Here is what (bankrupt) Westfalia is doing with the larger Transit in Europe in case you have not seen it: http://westfalia-ford.co.uk/elevated%20roof/index.html This sells for about £50,000 in the UK or $78,000. That includes significant VATs. Both the van and conversions would have to be made/done in the US (or Mexico) to be reasonably priced. Maybe Sportsmobile will step up.
At 16’ in length it’s almost 7’ shorter than the 22.6’ Sprinter 2500! The US needs a modern small camper van again for the thousands who don’t want a motorhome, including my kids. I hope someone figures this out.
