Well gosh, people....I have never heard the term "turn-key" used in any other way than as described...."Turn the key" and use the device, the house, the car, whatever. "Turn Key" means ready to roll.... I have never heard the term used to refer to a complete engine package that still is in a box, those are called Crate motors, or something else, but not Turn Key. When we builders finish a house, we hand the proud the key we used for the last weeks and we leave the extra keys hanging inside the front door on a finish nail placed so the hole it leaves won't show....They walk right in and find a cold six pack in the reefer and flowers on the kitchen table....TP in the bathroom....ready to roll..... If someone offered me a "turn-key" Bostig Westie or Syncro...I'd show up with the cash and expect to drive off in it....I certainly wouldn't show up with my tools or a car hauler and expect to put a couple of days installing a motor before I could turn the key...
