I wanted tunes for the drive time mostly to drown out some of the diesel engine noise and then for tailgating. It also has a usb port on the front to play music off my phone and charge it in the process! I prefer some blues or old big band jazz in the morning with my coffee while cooking breakfast. I want to escape the noise of civilization when camping. No Radio, no TV, no music, no sounds of machinery of any kind. I want to just experience the sounds of silence. 'Course it's hard to get away from - in fact 'pert near impossible, but it can sure be reduced to a large degree. I just don't want to help it along. For me, a quiet campgound or spot by a lake, a beverage of choice and a good book get the job done. Total relaxation. But to each his own, eh! John
