That is a good thought. The engine has remanufactured stickers on it, and the shop guys tell me it is a standard procedure for them to line bore them. They are going to help me find a used case that isn't bored.

This list is a priceless resource! So is my local independent shop, who doesn't seem to mind discussing problems and solutions with a shade tree cheap-skate like me. They seem more interested in keeping another Vdub on the road than taking my money.
