Subject: Buyers beware - Fuel tank sealing kits
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Just wanted to post an FYI.....

A fuel tank sealing kit was purchased for my van by a friend. On installation we realized the gasket for the sending unit was not correct. The vendor had supplied a slightly larger sized seal which we were not able to get to seal correctly. One vendor even lists a BMW p/n which is 1mm oversize. This one was closer to 2.5" rather than 58mm. Ended up ordering the $6 gasket from VW to make sure it was correct this time. Not publicly going to mention which vendor but buyer beware. We are now having to drop the tank AGAIN.....

Jason
