(Talkin' 'bout an '89 Westy)

"Someday," I'll get around to dropping the flaps and refoaming them. In the meantime, duct tape across the foot well vents keeps unwanted fresh air in check.

The shut off valve is tight, so we have no issues with hot coolant pipes inside the cabin.

"Vanagon Hot Foot Syndrome" has been mitigated by removing the carpet and underlayment and applying insulating blanket onto the floor.

And, of course, there's no substitute for working air conditioning in this North Georgia climate, aided by a fan placed in the pass through to help keep the feets and paws cooler.
