A moot point once you drive with the AC on. I have often though of using a sail switch to keep the fan off as the vehicle is traveling at speed. The radiator fan is a huge electrical load and at 60 mph probably provides no benefit whatsoever except to burn more fuel and heat up the alternator and wiring.

How about that from Van Café? Something that automatically kicks the radiator fan onto low speed when you're doing slow speeds.
