I just finished my upgrade not to long ago, I went from just a hole in the dash with no speakers/falling apart door panels to a Jvc cd player with 4, 6.5" package. I purchased another pair of. 6.5" to make 6 spkers. I put the front door speakers in about the same location as the cubby holders would be for best clearence and sound. I built a custom multi functional rear hanging cabinet for the other 4 speakers. Previously I removed the closet and it appeared that there was another cabinet there at one time so I made mine full width using trim and hinges off of the removed closet and mounted 2 spkrs forward ans 2 rear for when the hatch is open for camping/tailgating it also holds factory jack, gallon antifreeze,4 qts oil, tool bag and 6 fishing rods near flush to ceiling. I figured budget wise I spent about $250-$300. On the whole project including making and skinning all new door panels too. It sure beats last years camping trip without any tunes!!

Model # for Clarions ? They fit w/o mods to door skin or OEM grill? My new Westy needs speakers asap.

Sounds like a great system and neat idea on the mono subwoofer powered by its' own switchable amp!
