It's a joke, But ya know... It's a good start on a really secure password.

Throw in a number or two and you've got a great password! A little awkward though.

If you use one of the free mail services such as Yahoo! or MSN/ Hotmail, please, please, please use a secure password. The word 'password' is not secure. Your dog Rex's name is not secure. '123456' is not secure. Not even that random character sequence 'qwerty' is secure. And the likelihood that your account will be the subject of a brute force or dictionary attack seems to be substantially higher with these type accounts.

Please choose a password that is UPPER and lower case letters and numbers. With a little imagination you can create a password that is both easy to remember and secure. An example: Password = Chicago. Not secure. It's a dictionary word. A computer can own that account in about 3 minutes. Secure? How about ch1C4g0. MUCH more secure. And if ya squint, you can still see Chicago.

I moderate at least one mail account a week due to the account being used to spam. Changing the password usually solves the problem. It seems to almost always be a Yahoo! or Microsoft free account.

Please secure your accounts folks.
