You're right.  I had a tank that was well over 22 mpg, that was going into
Death Valley from the west.  After topping the mountains on the west side
it's a very, very long roll out down into the Valley itself, maybe 20
miles?  Anyway, with the automatic just take your foot off the gas, you
coast at 50+, the injectors shut down, the temp gage drops to the bottom,
and you have a neat ride burning no gas.
