Not to bash the vendor, but it sounds a little flakey to reuse the airflow meter with the door blocked open. Maybe that's to preserve the "OE" look. The air temp sensor is reused and they include a MAP sensor. So this looks like a speed density system. Nothing wrong with that, though most modern setups use a MAF.

And the idle control unit is eliminated? What controls the air bypass? Or maybe the new system just bumps the timing to compensate.

For $1500 doesn't sound too bad if its plug-n-play. New wiring is definitely a plus as these vans get older.

OTOH you could build your own for quite a bit less, but of course with much more time invested.
