Are you really sure it is bad? They rarely fail and the usual cause for them to not work properly is usually a bad power supply. With little variation this device was used on many Bosch fuel injection systems being common from '75 or so. Here is just one example of how common this part is. http://www.thepartsbin.com/repsite/bosch~auxiliary_air_valve~reparts.html Dennis
-----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Gary Meier Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 11:03 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Auxiliary Air Regulator -- 1981 Air-cooled Westy I have a bad auxiliary air regulator on my 81 Westy, air cooled, VW says that it is no longer available and I can't find an on-line source. This is a 2-wire regulator and I've been told that any 2-wire unit will work. Does anyone know what other models use a 2-wire auxiliary air regulator so that I can substitute. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Gary Meier |
