Its the horizontal bar and the side arms that  bolt into the fiberglass
roof and then the body. Hitting the carport ripped it  totally out of the
foberglass top and bent the lifting arms.


Like  a dunce I drove my Vanagon into the carport with the roof raised.
Fortunatly  insurance will take care of the fiberglass repair, as well as the
tent and the  gasket, but the Lifting mechinism is the hard part to  find.
