I centered the rack pretty good but I'll check it again to make sure it is exact and I'll measure the length of the tie rods from the wrench flats to the shoulder of the tie rod end to check the engagement again. Since you didn't mention there being a change in the tie rod end length I assume my memory was incorrect in there being a change in design of replacement parts. It must have been for a different vehicle.

The trailing arm bushing removal is what I expected. It sounds like it's going to be a frustrating day.
