Well, I tried pressing out the lower ball joints from my syncro with a 12 ton shop press. They didn't budge, but I didn't try "real hard" i.e. using a torch or hammer to get them out. I ended up just taking them with the new ball joints to a local shop where they pressed out the old ones in a jiffy with their 40 ton press, and pressed in the new ones. Sandblasted the ball joint carriers for me too. |
