Subject: OT: Importing goods from Europe
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi, this is a longshot, but since it's Fryday, I thought I'd throw this out there for the esteemed group.

I'm contemplating a 180 degree career change, and have been considering importing goods from throughout Europe--not car parts and accessories, but high/mid-end consumer goods and artisan-crafted items.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of activity or know of resources that can illuminate things like dealing with:

- customs - exchange rates - North American distributors - direct sales contracts with European firms - warehousing on the continent - shipping from the continent

Thanks in advance if anyone wants to shoot me their thoughts off-list.

*Tschüss!* -- Casey
