Not me, but I can understand this.  I had an uncle who was afflicted thusly.
Once he asked me to fix a wobbly leg on his kitchen table, and he had a tube
of glue for that.  I looked under the table and tightened up the loose wing
nut attaching the leg.



His mechanical ineptitude was legendary.  He was a popular officer in the
Navy and When he left after WWII the crew on his ship gave him a set of
miscellaneous tools in a big tool box knowing full well he'd never open it.
I have those tools, all engraved "Property of USN".  They are all large
sockets and wrenches suitable for working on a battleship, but not much good
around the house.



It's simply a complete disinterest in things mechanical and the reason we
have repair shops!   He was also well compensated enough to pay someone else
to do all this stuff for him, unlike me.
