No Vanagon in this story, but a cautionary tale about a local dude's Japanese cars being tracked down by the FBI (on ebay) and ordered crushed by a county judge last week.  Ridiculous really. I wouldn't try to sneak any car into the US after reading this. Consider it flattering. Like they're trying to get a little of our 'florida' and 'california' glamor energy .. just like we do with an American  car model name like Riviera.

Lots of non-conforming vehicles get into the US somehow, and get titled and registered. Either hoops to jump through, or hoops to sneak around.
