I thought that was done by a check valve (which would prevent back-flushing) - I'm surprised to learn that the pump clearances are tight enough to maintain system pressure for half an hour with gasoline. But even if they weren't that tight, a roller pump like that won't pass any appreciable amount in either direction under gravity alone. Yours, David |
