Sometimes it is the goals that can get us in trouble. Working in industry I
have too many times where the goals or methods have been costly. I have
witnessed major burns, lost limbs and eyesight. Usually due to the employee
taking a short cut. Even though the pump is now working, for how long? Where
will you be changing it next? Future towing bill and downtime. How many
pumps could have been purchased had you been hurt?



As a noobie you need ask questions and get answers before trying new things.
You need to understand the process and risks.

Yes I see. I didn't say it was smart or adviseable :)  It worked out for me
though - I am still a huge noobie in a lot of ways and this was the best
method I could think of to accomplish my goal.
