Still, considering that the alternator is in a position of much vibration from the rotating motor and the jiggling of the engine/vehicle, I think it would not be unwise to carry an extra brackett and all mounting bolts of good known origin. The skill level, however, of the installer is left up to the person requiring the repair.... As such, knowledge is a powerful thing...
