Been there, done that except in my case it was a metal fragment from grinding with my Dremel. Promised the optometrist I'd always wear safety goggles after that, which I did-until almost a year to the date I took off my goggles to get a closer look at my work (with the Dremel again). <sigh> He was not happy to see me again!
