We had a very similar situation locally just a few weeks ago.  Westy
started, moved out of the garage, parked and shut down.  In a minute or so
noticed yellow smoke from the rear.  Pushed van farther away from the
building.  Tried extinguisher through the license plate door, no help.
Lost the whole Westy.
