I want to reemphasize what Bill said about shakedown driving after any major work, especially fuel or cooling system. Think of an excuse to spend 20 or 30 minutes at full cruising speed. Replacing all the hoses is a very big job, not one that I would tackle all at once shortly before a trip. Check for bulges or soft spots and check that any screw type clamps are tight. Look for seepage. Carry Rescue Tape and filament tape and a gallon of coolant mix. Relax; stuff happens. You can't always prevent it. :-) Larry A. |
