I also endorse platinum spark plugs. Always seems to refresh my van. To me, new plugs are the single biggest "tune up" item that makes a difference. (Spark plug wires, rotor, distributor cap....not so much.) I've only used the single tip platinum plugs...Bosch. I almost feel like a seasoned mechanic when I remove and replace and feel that engine purr! And it's a 1.9 with 199,000 miles.
