I wonder too Dennis. I know that having that stock diesel noise reduction under engine cover installed in my I4 gasser did raise the oil temps a bit.

I can only see how it goes with the tranny. I'll use a IR temp gun and do a couple of hwy runs with and without cover.

But I do like having the trans. protected a bit more, especially the access cover for the reverse/G gear idlers.
