Yeah, that door and table design was a glitch. I cut the door on my '84 at table height, moved the hinge up on the top piece, and glued the bottom piece in the cabinet. Worked great, but I did end up taking the table out when camping for easy cubby access. I think the later models had a smaller closet door that cleared the table.

The real question is, does anybody use that rear table? I took that thing out 16 years ago and actually tried a year or two back to use it again. I have to swing it out of the way to reach the cubies, cabinet, etc. It's useless for having more than 1 person in the van. :)
