Hi all... It's very natural to try to identify 'when it does it.' And I will also say this ....I've had customers want to tell me every little detail about what stop sign it does it by, on which days, or whatever. Aside from basic information like 'hot or cold ? ' and is the fuel in it good etc.. most of the time ( and some people want to spend a long time telling about each and every time it hiccuped or whatever ) I just say .. get me the car, tell me the symptoms you are aware of, the keys, and a phone number.

In other words ..some 'pre-info' is great, like how long they've owned it and so on.

The real work starts with inspecting things though. Some people don't even 'look' ..they don't even eyeball the engine as a first step. Sometimes there is a hugely obvious thing out of place. Point is , the real work starts with careful inspection, perhaps some diagnostic tests etc.

AFM as a source of hesitation ....possible all right. I'd check more basic things first I think.
