So David, though I have replaced all fuel lines with all new line, running a continuous line with no breaks and no firestarter connector, you still think I have a connection like Stuart is talking about? I sure don't remember such a thing, but I will certainly search it out. thanks for the information. I guess that connection was factory. Maybe mine had already been replaced with a continuous hose, but the firestarter connector was still in place. Or could there be a model year difference in that? Mine is a '91 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile. Hmmmm.... . mcneely
