My experience with epoxy (specifically Marine Tex, a high-quality filled epoxy fairly similar to JB Weld except that the hardener is a fuming jelly that's mixed 1:5 instead of 1:1) is that after some months exposed to gasoline vapors and probably some liquid gasoline it became rubbery. This was repairing a fuel tank vent fitting on Scamp. However it still retained the bond and as the repair required very little mechanical strength it remained usable. Yours, David |
