Hmmm....... . Hundreds of miles? Wouldn't it be wiser to get the flat fixed? Why would one choose a directional tire for a spare? Mcneely

If I'm traveling let's say from NY to Florida and I get a flat and mount my spare at 2 AM guess what. It is going to be some 200 to 300 miles before I even try to get a tire. Now If I am using some weird size or type of tire I may even have to finish my vacation on that spare. One of the reasons Fun Bus had a set of Wrangler HP's in 215/65-16 is that I can get this tire in a couple days anywhere and fit the spare (deflated with pump under rear seat) into the tire carrier.
