Subject: Fuel Expansion Tank Valve Grommet: Use PCV Grommet?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

Van-cafe has these: http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/page_1013_293/fuel_expansion_tankgas_tank_grommet.html

but for if someone were in a pinch....

I'm looking at Dorman products (Some Dorman products sold as "HELP") and see various PCV grommets that might work:

http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-32344-42340.aspx http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-27687-42330.aspx http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-4936-42055.aspx

Measuring a spare expansion tank and new rollover valve, I see:

15/16" tank ID, 7/16" valve OD. I don't know how thick the OEM grommet is though.

Since a PCV grommet is likely rated for oil, would it be ok for use with fuel or fuel vapours?

Neil
