Lots of suggestions come to mind, but one I like a lot is taking a short cut over the hills/mtns between Fernie and Cranbrook instead of the loop south. Gravel road, good shape, heading east to Sulfur creek (there is a spot that is really sulferous). But before stinky creek there is a nice o/n spot at side of road and beside small creek (trout eager). There is a small lake a ways before the creek side spot, can camp there too. But I liked the creek better. The road is called Sulfur Creek road, here is google map ref |
