A couple inversions before reinstalling gives them a chance to get more evenly distributed. Once the burner goes on and fully establishes the cooling cycle, everything will be in the right place for continued operation and the device will start normally after that (normally being something like 20 minutes from lightoff IIRC). This doesn't have to do with how quickly it cools (i.e. BTU/hr pulled out of the box) but how quickly it starts after lightoff. So if you roll your '91 VW Vanagon GL Campmobile and it lands on its side, be sure to roll it upside down a few times before setting it on its feet. Your fridge will be more quickly able provide you with a restorative beer, and you might find a stray wallet as well. ;-) Yrs, d |
