First notify the ev_update group on Yahoo! Groups that you are selling and
ask advice.  Put it on Craigslist in your area and on the west coast.  CL
doesn't like cross posting, but you can find a way to do it if you work at
it.   You are on the early side model wise, the 2001-03 had the 201 hp
engine, yours has the 160 hp version, which is still a good engine.
Transmissions are expensive to rebuild ($4000+ and parts are of questionable
quality), and yours will be due soon.  Check www.thesamba.com, and I'd start
at something under $25k and work down from there every couple of weeks.
EVCs are very popular in Seattle, so list it here too.  Good luck!

I'm getting ready to sell my 2000 EV Camper (the Winnebago camper
conversion--not the Westfalia weekender conversion). It's got 150K, a few
dings, and some beginning rust (I'm in Minnesota). Just got a new battery,
the appliances and interior are clean, has the removable (one person) seat
for the passenger area, but it needs tires and is getting close on the
brakes. This vehicle is so unusual that it is hard to find the value. It is
not one of those $38K, mint condition fully-reconditioned campers you see
from specialized dealers, but it will be great with a little TLC. It
certainly runs great. I'll be sorry to see it go, but I"m into a different
chapter of life and it's time to pass it along to someone new.

Anybody have any suggestions for working out an asking price?
