Thanks for the reply Mike. My plan is to replace the compressor, receiver/drier, etc and then take it to a shop and have it checked over/recharged there. Based on the recommendation of a friend who replaced his compressor and then charged it himself only to have the compressor fail after one season. Second compressor he took to a shop and so far so good.
